Abstract
Part I of this Article reviews the history of the pit bull breed and the "see-saw" reputation that pit bulls have endured. Part II of this Article describes unsuccessful constitutional challenges to breed specific legislation. Part III of this Article discusses the problems with Miami- Dade County's breed-specific legislation and proposals for changes that do not include unconstitutionally targeting a particular breed.
