Abstract
On behalf of the St. Thomas law faculty, I would like to extend my most cordial welcome to the illustrious leaders of the Italian legal profession and academe who have honored us with their presence today. Its Catholic tradition, first and foremost, unites us in the quest for human dignity and social justice. These goals will guide us well in navigating the uncertain shoals of broad constitutional reform we will address in these important days.
